This is a new project aimed at meeting the housing needs of the rural Navajo population. It will involve both home repairs and building new homes. This will be done by volunteer teams from across the States.
This past spring we hosted a group of 70 people from Yuba-Sutter mission team from Californial who fully built a 3 roomed house for a needy family within 4 days(see story below).
The housing needs for the rural population is very high. We have case where more than 8 family members live in one room and in most cases with no running water. Also most of the houses are in very poor conditions and need major repairs,

Below: Grandma Lydia`s hooghan, it has only one room and a bathroom and there lives 9 people who include her daughter, grandchildren, great-grand child. This is one of the families Yuba-Sutter Mission team is going to build a house for. There are many families who are in similar stuations if not worse. Please help!

Lydia`s new houseLydia`s house is finally built and she is ready to move in!

Home Depot Foundation
We recently received a donation for home repair materials from Home Depot Foundation. This donation is aimed at repairing houses for the elderly and verterans. So far our youth has painted 3 houses for the elderly and veterans and also distributed house repair materials like doors, gutters, plumbing accessories to eight other families to fix their homes. Thanks home Depot Foundation for assisting in this project.
